ALMOND GARLIC STRINGBEANS

salt
1lb string beans
1/2c sliced almonds
1/c olive oil
salt
4-5 cloves garlic smashed
1" piece ginger grated
1/2 t dried red chili pepper flakes
1/4 c red wine vinegar
bring a pot of salted water to a boil add beans and cook for 2 minutes until bright green strain and run under cold water heat a large skillet over medium heatadd the almonds and toast until golden brown about 4 minutes shaking pan often and then remove almonds over medium high heat heat olive oil, add salt, garlic, ginger,chili flakes cook until garlic starts to brown but not burn add vinegar and let cook for 1-2 minutes more remove pan and add beans toss to coat
