Chocolate Cobbler
Filling:
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoon cocoa
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoon melted butter
1 teaspoon. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups water
For filling, sift dry ingredients into a 9-inch pan. Stir in milk,
butter and vanilla. Spread batter evenly in pan.
For topping: Mix sugars with cocoa and sprinkle over batter. Pour water
over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold with
ice cream and whipped topping.
